I kinda figured that SVO would be cleaner than diesel. Here's some evidence (Ben be proud) :D ):

V100 Golf Aces EPA Emissions Tests (http://www.greencarcongress.com/2007/02/v100_jetta_aces.html): A 2002 Volkswagen Golf TDi modified to run on straight Canola oil (V100) produced emissions below the EPA standards.
