Hi,
I'm looking for an 80's Honda Civic for parts. It needs to be 4WD. As
far as I know, only the Civic Wagon was ever 4WD. The part I'm
most interested is the transmission and transfer case.
Might buy the whole car if it's cheap enough.
Send me an email via gassavers.
Tom.

I know of one in a junkyard but I'll never go back there!
Anyway, how much you looking to spend and I'll look around.

I don't know why you don't want to go back their, that dog didn't even take a real bite out of you and you were able to triple talk your way out, so what is it that's really holding you back?:p

Because I think I'm generally a pretty nice guy and I'm rather ashamed I snuck my way in and I just feel like a bad person on the whole about the situation.

Well, at least you had the $ on you and you were planning on leaving it, since you couldn't find anyone around.

Well, I went there thinking they'd be open at 1pm on a business day and they were closed, so of course I had the money, I'd called and we'd agreed on a price already. Blah, I still feel like a fool.

Hello,
how much am I willing to spend? It depends on where the car is, since I'm in Boston. For a car with a D15B2 engine, 4WD, manual tranny, I'd definitely spend $500. If it's automatic, or a D16, or depending on location I'd have to see. I guess that makes me cheap, huh? :)
Do you have any more info on the car in NJ? A VIN and engine number would be great. A pic would be cool too. The engine number is stamped on a flat machined surface on the engine block, below the oil cap. Took me forever to find it since it was covered in oil.

for a pic of where the labels are.
I realize that's a lot of work for nothing, so just the phone number of the junkyard would be great, and I can call them myself.
Thanks.
Tom.

The junkyard won't be able to tell you anything, they'll just call it a civic and be like, uhhhh. Anyway, it's manual with a d15b2, looks unmolested but it's stacked on top of two other cars so getting to it would be difficult. They're prolly want more than you're willing to spend for the stuff. At least 500 for the tranny/rt4wd crap, then shipping and all that, so no dice I'd guess.

This is great information, thank you so much for digging this up for me. I'm having a hard time finding stuff at the local junk yards, so this car might be what I'll have to use. Do you have their phone number? VIN?

Tom,
There is a wagon at my junkyard. I can't remember if it's a 4WD or not. I might be going back on Tuesday, so I will let you know.

There is a 91 4WD wagon here in my junkyard. I'm unsure if shipping is a realistic option (for any of the parts) but I'm just letting you know it's here :P
