Well I parted with my '02 748s and now am going into withdrawl... A more beautiful bike i've never seen- The new 848 is very tempting but I'm waiting for the s and r variants and hopefully it will be offered in black. It doesn't get any better than an 80 mpg commuter and an italian superbike for the sunny days. life is good. :)

Well, what are you going to replace it with?

Another ducati for sure, I'm just indecisive about putting in an order for an 848 now, or waiting until the all blk color scheme is offered. the price on 998/999's have been coming down since the intro of the 1098, so thats another option to consider.

Yeah, the 848 sounds pretty cool. Had a guy with a 1098 at my school this year. Seemed like a good bike. I should have rode it, but I was busy teaching a bit, so I passed. 848 just might be a great combination of power and weight.
