We just finished testing a 2007 jeta tdi diesel with 2 oz of acetone and 1 oz amsoil synthetic 2 stroke oil per 10 us gallons. This guy is the guru of mileage recording, he drives 300 to 400 kms a day he was getting avg for the trip 5.0 litres per 100kms or 56.81 mpg, with the additives on the same road he now gets 4.5 litres per 100kmh or 63.13 mpg, 6.32 mpg increase. not bad for $1.00 worth of additives.

if my calculations are correct, that's just under a 15% increase. IMHO that's is acceptable, meaning not sensational.

my testing confirms that acetone works in certain applications. i'm still trying to figure out in what applications it does and doesn't work. my results were negative for my wife's car with acetone, but not as maticulous testing.

soooooo many variables...

city driving vs hwy, heavy throttle vs light, domestic vs import, different compression ratios, different climates, etc.

i'm now in the midst of testing w/ my new vehicle. stay tuned...
