I've seen two Twikes in person, and the owner didn't want to sell, and clamed that someone was looking in to importing them but that no one was doing it yet, but the basic idea is a great one, a two person, side by side fully inclosed human/electric hybrid vehicle, and I've thought about doing something simaler with an electric bicycle, putting a spring loaded speed controler on the chain, so the faster you pedal the faster you go, with unreasonably high for human alone, gearing... but back to the twike! it seems to me to be an ideal commuter vehicle, small, light, efficent, electric, human powered, fully inclosed.

Astonished pedestrians watch the TWIKE pass by and children wave their hands, laughing.

Humm... I think I would rephrase that sentence if I were them...

Looks pretty cool, though I don't know if I'm quite ready to accept the title of uber-nerd yet... I get enough flak about my "cute" crx as it is. I wouldn't mind the exercise though, would be a nice way to go out and see the country side. I would be a little worried about semis though... they wouldn't even feel it if they ran you over. =)

The CRX stopped being cute for many of my female friends after I took them for a ride while it was totally stripped.

True... VTEC burnouts (traction loss caused by the engagement of VTEC) seem to do the trick too. =)

Vastly overpriced. 3 wheel delta style is not as safe on corners as tadpole designs and further is not crash tested  to american ratings.
