How would you brake hard without eating pavement?

The segway moves slow enough to brake and not tip forward, but this looks a little difficult to engineer.

same way the segway does it. leaning backward to keep the CG/vector forces through the wheel/s. just leans back more at higher speed. looks really cool, anyone know the range/top speed of that thing?

That makes sense (to lean it back) but at 80 mph, youd have to be leaning back quite a bit and I wonder how comfortable it would be.

What if you gun it at 80 mph- you'd already be leaning back- so might the extra kick backward give you road rash on your rump? :)

I guess it would be computerized so that it would not accelerate/brake fast enough to make it unstable

IMHO, design overkill. An regular electric motorcycle is much simpler to build and doesn't take up that much space.

yea but then he's not being unique. everyone wants to fit in by being unique

That's the thinking of a rice boy! But all the cars look the same.

It's one thing to be unique.. and it's another to look stupid... I think this falls in the latter. I'd like to see the first time he tried to stop that thing in a panic stop situation from 30 to 0 mph... without a helmet even.
