It's an over priced scooter if you are handy with doing maintenance and repairs yourself.

What is the intended usage?

How much do you weigh?

Will you be carrying lots of cargo?

Where are you located?

Maybe better comments can be supplied given little more details.

I would also think that target speed would be a good question too.

do you want to go 55 or is 45 OK? now how about 35?

Yamaha makes a pretty darn good product, and you can get parts and service from any Yamaha dealer. Simple.

The 50cc Zuma was good, but two stroke. The 125 I have heard is a lot of fun too, which was one of the great parts of the 50cc Zuma.

It's not a full size bike, so, yeah, you're gonna be limited by top speed. Will it go 55? I've heard some say that it might get there where the 50cc two strokes even struggled with pipes and other kit parts.

Good luck!

I had a Zuma 50cc 2-stroke modified with most of the bells and whistle, but not a 70cc upgrade...got rid of it. At the same time my wife wanted a Vino 125, that's till around. The 125 is enough to move my portly 185lbs around in a brisk manner without too much issue. The new Zuma 125 is something I'm also looking into, but the additional benefit is that is FI. I sense there will be more power in the Zuma 125 than that of the Vino 125. Good around town, but no highways at all though.

Based on my experience owning and fixing Japanese bikes, and now a Chinese bike, I'd say - go with Chinese if you want to save money.

Bought one last saturday.
Am really satisfied with it. I'm about 195 lb. and it will reach 65mph easy.
need a windshield for it,at that speed its a little shakey.

Never trusts the accuracy of the speedos on a scooter...they are almost always 15%-20% optimistic. If you get a chance to verify with a GPS, do it. If nothing else get someone to shadow you in a car and tell them to go 50 mph...match thier speed and see what your speedo reads. Don't be discouraged if you find your top speed turns out to be 55mph-58mph...that would be good on a 125 CVT Scoot.

The good thing about your new scoot...the FI will give you good mpg and burn very clean.
