I am installing a d15z1 into my 89 LX. I purchased a wiring harness from rywire and I'm currently wiring up the o2 sensor. It's a five wire o2 sensor, so keep that in mind.
here is a picture of my o2 sensor with the colors:
http://www.gassavers.org/images/matt/swap/o2.jpg
The instructions from rywire were as follows:
LAF Sensor
-yel/blk o2 heater brown wire in pigtail
-black wire ground (use purple wire in pigtail harness)
-green/white ground (use purple wire in pigtail harness)
-white D3 (red wire in pigtail)
-white/blue D8 (use pigtail orange wire)
-orange/blue D14 (use stock 1 wire o2 wire for this position)
-orange D16 (grey wire in pigtail)
The colors are not matching up, and I don't want to make any assumptions.
Can anyone tell me the functions, or the pin positions of the o2 sensor based on the colors in the above picture?

Terminal Location / Description
1 - Heater Positive
2 - Chassis Ground
3 - ECM Ground
4 - Label Resistance Input
5 - Blank
6 - Cell Voltage Input
7 - Pump Cell Control
8 - Reference Voltage
The wire colors changed a lot, but all of the terminal locations in the LAF connector stayed the same.

You so crazy, Dan. You need your own computer, by the way.

What exactly do these numbers mean? there are only 5 wires on my sensor.

One other note about the LAF sensor wiring is that you will find 7 wires on the engine side wiring harness and 7 termninals in the LAF connector, but only 5 wires from the connector to the LAF sensor. Two of the terminals are connected to a calibrating resistor that is located in the LAF terminal. This resistor is typically 4.3K ohms.

Is this on the engine harness side or the oxygen sensor side? I'm going to be using a 8-wire plug from a obd1 distributor and not the actual oxygen sensor plug. Images are as follows:
Here is the plug I'm using (sorry so blurry)

And a picture I made to help with the discussion:

Jared just helped...
# = c107(dizzy) = c111(o2)
1 = orn = wht
2 = orn/blu = grn/wht
3 = blu/grn = blk
4 = yel/grn = yel/blk
5 = wht = orn
6 = wht/blu = orn/blu
7 = blu/yel = wht/blu
8 = \ = \
Thanks jared !
