I've posted this on other forums, but every time I come across it again, I'm still amazed by how neat it is. Diesel bikes from around the world (http://www.dieselbike.net/). I especially like this build (http://www.altmann.haan.de/riding_on_salad_oil/default.htm) since it uses a what seems to be the average China made Yanmar clone, which can be found for ~$600 (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-10-HP-10HP-DIESEL-COMMERICAL-ENGINE-EPA-CERTIFIED_W0QQitemZ270026325916QQihZ017QQcategoryZ 79670QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270026325916). With a dead bike, something that gets ~110-160mpg can be had for less than a grand. And how the engine runs on VO/biodiesel is already documented, three parts WVO to one part diesel should net ~440-640mpg of diesel fuel.
