For those of us who've ever spent significant time fixing cars may relate to this list I've seen around the web:

Also, I always liked having a length 1" steel pipe since I never had a 3' breaker-bar. I called it the socket wrench amplifier.
And... before there were mechanics gloves, I used to have this theory that I should put the bandaids on my knuckles before working on stubborn bolts and take them off afterwards. Instead I usually did the reverse and wore them for a week. :D
Also, anyone who's driven an English-made car of the 60's knows that Lucas Electric was known as the Prince of Darkness - because sooner or later you'll find yourself w/o lights at night. :)
