They're selling a product (didn't even look) but that sentence caught me... We know that driving technique, mood, etc. plays a huge role in fuel economy. How do you think a blood pressure gauge or pulse rate meter will affect FE by making the driver aware of his/her physical condition (therefore being able to make a conscious change)?

A friend could have used one last monday as he woke up on the shoulder at about 65 mph at 1am in the morning thinking that he just hit the jersey barrier . . . no damage found so far but he dropped off a 4 inch roadway onto dirt? in a Scion tC which is pretty low to the ground with low profile tires. Looks like a standard BP gauge that can be had for less than that - I have one from panasonic and it works great only my BP is too high today.

I believe that Citroen and/or Volvo is working on/has a device the scans the drivers eyes checking for "adequate" activity. If there is not enough or the lids close the car attempts to wake the driver.

I've seen prototypes for that type of system :thumbup: It monitors how frequently you blink because when you're tired or loosing focus, you start blinking more often :thumbup:
