turning off the injector

I would like to know if anyone has tried this idea??
Wire in a switch on the injector to turn off the gas man...
Some suv's turn off the gas on the highway shutting down a or two cylinders?

I think rh77 has had some experience with that.

On most cars shutting down one or two injectors will add a lot of oxygen to the exhaust, the oxygen sensors in the pipe will then think the engine is running to lean and add more fuel to the rest of the injectors.
