I put 14 inch tires from an integra on my crx. How does this effect my odometer reading?

Probably makes it incorrect.
You have to know the previous size and the new size, and compare it. Do a search on this site for "miata" and you'll find a tire size calculator.
Thanks that helps alot heres the url for anyone else searching: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
now I have to change my garage entry to reflect the difference.

My 90 CRF HF has 14" rims with 185/60/14 tires. I used this http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos calculator and got an approximate 5% difference between the stock size.
I then measured a 28 mile distance on Google Earth between 2 exits on the freeway on my commute and found that with the 14" tires I was within 1/10 mile accuracy. From this I'm assuming the odometer with the stock sized tires is a few % high.

using the miata page, the difference between my stock 175/70/13s and the 185/65/14s was 3.6%. I wonder why it isn't the same on the discounttire page.
are you using a size other than 175/70/13 as stock?

I never had the stock size, the car came with 14" rims with the 185/60/14 tires. According to tirerack.com, the stock size of a 90 CRX HF is 165/70/13.
Ok, I was just going by what was on my 90 crx. I'll have to checkout and see if the std. size for 88 is different and adjust my mileage again.
double checked everything, with my 185/65/14s I'm driving 6.2% further than odometer reading. thanks mrmad.

That's what I was assuming, but if my measurements using Google Earth were accurate, it seemsmy 90 is now about spot on in odometer readings with the 185/60/14s. This makes me think the stock odometer with the stock tires reads high.
crap, maybe I shouldn't have changed my garage entry. I wonder if its the same VSS for si and hf. Didn't the si have 14" wheels.

I just tried a GPS and it removed all doubt for me. I had to keep it on the dashboard to give it access to "full sky". Otherwise, it would lose connection to the satelite (and do a "straight line" correction from last known location?). I just used regular commuting miles. 20 and 30 mile segments yielded the same results.
