I took a look, and there's a lot of data that they calculate. I imported my fuel usage and the data is charted very nicely. Check it out...

How are you guys getting a CSV file to import? Is there a way to EXPORT from the Garage here to a CSV file?

How did you get the EPA estimates to show? I didn't see where to input that info.

There is an EPA estimates section on the stats screen. You select the model/trim and it plugs in the info.

Thanks. I played around with it. I got it to show something, but the numbers are wrong. Its either showing the old EPA rating, or its showing the rating for a newer model. Not sure what's going on there.

Keep this thread alive. When I have time AND energy simultaneously, I'll figure out a way to automate the work. I should be able to make a CSV by saving the gaslog as html or text, cleaning it up a bit (vertical selection feature in Notepad++ FTW!), and so on.
Actually, come to think of it, if you're willing to use Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office for a moment, you may be able to just drag the page from IE into Excel. There's some really good integration there, and I recently made a CSV of a table on another website that way.

Ok, another thread just reminded me. I tried using Excel, works like a charm. Here's what I wrote in that thread:
Got Microsoft Excel? If so, do this:
1. Open your gaslog in Internet Explorer.
2. Select the data (try to get the headings in your selection but not the graph image).
3. Copy to clipboard.
4. Paste into Excel.
5. Delete any extra stuff you didn't want, like the graph image that you couldn't help but select.
6. Crunch the numbers.
You know all that overcooked bullcrap Microsoft does? It occasionally pays off...
I just tried it with IE7 and Excel 2007, works great. Total miles: 12085.06. Total fuel used: 371.788. Average cost per gallon: 3.477051.
To make it a CSV:
- skip step 6 above
- delete any columns and rows you don't want (don't just delete the data, delete the actual column/row: use Edit->Delete in reasonable versions or Delete from the Home ribbon in 2007 (stupid ribbon crap))
- rearrange the columns if necessary
- File->Save As
- select CSV format
- enjoy
Edit: You can also do it with OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org) or online with Google Spreadsheets (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?new), and you don't need to use IE -- in fact, if you don't use IE and/or don't use Excel your results will be better.
