Description
I bought this car used in 2003 for $3000 and it had 112000 miles on it. I've basically done very little to it in the way of mpg modifications. All I have on it right now is an EFIE from Eagle Research to fool the ECU into thinking the mixture is rich. Now for the specs. It has a 3.1 L V-6 with a 4-speed automatic. Soon after I got the car I made a trip to St. Louis, MO which is just under 400 miles from my house by freeway. At 90% 70 mph and the rest 55 mph I averaged 34.6 mpg. Also, with the reccomended 5W-30 oil, the car didn't use a drop of oil. I have made several highway trips with the car and have always gotten in the 34 mpg range. I have recently switched to Amsoil 0W-30 synthetic oil. Since this car is normally driven by my mother, and she doesn't drive much, I don't have a lot of mileage information on local driving. Planned mods are for a hydrogen generator from Fran Giroux and possibly fuel heat. This of course is when the $'s show up.
