| Description |
This car was originally sold in Enid, OK. Looks like it sat out in a hail storm or two. Bought four years ago for $1500 with 57K miles on it. Now has 135K.
Sprung front bumper, hail dimples, chipped paint, rust under the doors and some bondo'd over rust spots. Small animal poops still on the intake manifold after 4 years of cleaning attempts. Nibbled wiring. Stereo amplifier dangling by a screw in the trunk. Sun visors glued to the headliner. (?!?) Tinfoil (stainless steel) cover on roof so the Government (or was it the Aliens?) can't tell what I am thinking (or is it control my thoughts?).
4.1 Liter V8 (on several lists of top-ten worst engines of the 20th century).
Automatic overdrive Hydra-Matic with lock-up torque converter
Built-in fuel economy monitor
This is the weekend-drive my wife around on errands car.
9/1/2008: Finally added a picture.
02/2010: Transmission died horribly
02/2012: Got tired of trying to fix it, sent it to the crusher. |

40 psi in tires.

| Planned Modifications |
Dead-head sticker. And for the younger generation, maybe a Black Flag sticker.
New pigtail for temp sensor (temp values jump around about 10 degrees C, when I wiggled it a bit they stayed steady).
Clean out radiator or new one, fix or replace the A/C condenser. Hot weather is getting less easy for my wife to take than it used to be.... |
