Bumped tire pressure up from 30/32psi all around to 38psi on rears and 37psi on the fronts (they heat up to about 40/41 psi and 44 psi is the sidewall rated max).
Added 3 PSI to tires on 6/1/09, they now run 42 psi at 74 degrees, 44 psi at 83 degrees, 46 psi at 92 degrees.
OEM tires are Goodyear Integrity P195/65R15 with a rolling resistance of 0.00955

Might get windows tinted to keep it cooler inside and cut down on A/C use.
I'm going to have to do something about that ugly exhaust pipe, maybe a crome tip?
Once my origonal tires wear out (quite a while) I plan on replacing them with a set of Bridgestone/Firestone Insignia SE 200 89S P195/65R15 that will have a rolling resistance of 0.00760.
Should get a few extra MPG out of them.
Been contemplating removing the side mirrors and making them interior mirrors.
Getting info for a partial grill block, want to make sure I can monitor my engine temp so it won't overheat and make sure air is still flowing smoothly. |
