Trying to make this car as fuel efficient as possible. I've already impressed my dad who bought a hybrid with my 34+ MPG highway mileage. That's with no changes, really... just making sure the tire pressure is good and setting the cruise. Gotten up to 38MPG highway over 500 miles on one trip. Never got that good again, so must've been following the wind. I tend to get 16-17mpg city, as I have a heavy foot (but only inside the city, and when merging onto highways). I've driven this car since 2003, and family has owned it since 2001. With less than 120,000 miles, she's still running strong, and efficient!

Oh... and I have the "beasty" 3.3L V6 engine, while getting this mileage.
K&N Air Filter (Stock replacement).
Removed the small (stock) air-intake tube that fails to run to the front of the vehicle, so it just sucks in air from the engine compartment now.
Planned Modifications
Covering the rear wheel wells.
Modifying the front end (with cheap, strong material) to make it more rounded, and lower to the ground.
HHO Generator - Been experimenting on my '94 Explorer before I test it on my Daily Driver.
Creating a box so the air intake takes warm air surrounding the exhaust manifolds to feed the engine.

...and I'm sure there's more.
