| Nothing elegant or high tech here, just an eccentric efficient little commuter. Multi colored due to red chevy sprint body parts covering front end crash damage and all 4 doors(before I owned it). 5speed trans, 1 liter 3 cylinder, 4 door hatchback. Odometer verified accurate with google earth. 4.10:1 final drive with 155r12 tires. 10.5 gallon gas tank. Woo Hoo, the metro finally made #1 on gasoline vehicle list on Dec 11th 2007! |
| Modifications |
| DIY LED marker lamps and 3rd brake light, DIY hood pins to keep hood all the way down, L.R.R. rear tires, removed passenger seat, ds front seat belt conversion to pillar mount, Oem block heater installed, removed AC pump, mount, plumbing and condensor. Removed plumbing to stock cold air intake for winter use. grill block with hot weather tear offs + packing tape on large gaps and over slots on flat style hubcaps (use "duck" crystal clear high performance). Did a partial rear under tray. Both exterior mirrors removed and replaced with internal walmart convexes (added motorcycle mirror on outside of ds door so I don't get pulled over anymore). Injector kill switch. Prototype partial rear wheel skirts, and Corrugated plastic (coroplast) kammback. Reduced weight due to strategic rust holes. Made a coroplast airdam that is 4" tall and rides about 6" off the ground. Usually 5w-30 but trying 5w-20 on my september oil change for the cooler weather. |
