| Description |
I just bought this car, and am still working on it, it has around 170,000 miles, very little rust, no apparent accedents other then a few dents from a tree falling on it, but that damage isn't very noticable and doesn't affect doors or windows opening, or cause water to leak.
It has a 1500cc ingle over head cam engine, with 67 horse power, 72 foot pounds of tourqe at 3,000 rpm, CVCC engine with a 3 barral carburator.
Stock tire size is 155/80-13, so pretty narrow/light, the rest of the car is reasonably light, and simple as well. |
| Modifications |
The origonal trasmition had an extreamly worn main bearing, preventing it from staying in 3rd or 5th gear, so I swaped out the origonal trasmition for one from a 1983 civic 1300cc FE, Gear ratio changed from:
1st 3.181
2nd 1.823
3rd 1.181
4th 0.846
5th 0.714
Final Reduction 3.875
The FE transmition is geared at:
1st 3.272
2nd 1.666
3rd 1.041
4th 0.777
5th 0.655
Final Reduction 3.722
The exaust is 1 3/4", I think that is 1/4" over stock, not ideal, but that is what came with the car, and is not leaking, so for now it will stay.

| Planned Modifications |
Rear tires are miss matched, and larger/wider then stock size, finding good 155/80-13 stock sized tires would be ideal.
After giving the engine a compleat tune up, the plan is to switch to synthetic fluids.
The origonal belly pan was removed to make room for a tow bar, the tow bar has been removed, leaving a clear space for a belly pan, on this car the engine has an engine suport bar under it that is solidly attached to the body/frame, giving me something solid to attach a longer/larger belly pan to. |
