Description
My 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250 cost me $2,999. brand new. That's right, below 3 thousand bucks. I did the DMV registration myself, which saved me a $50 doc. fee from the dealership, and I talked them out of the freight and assembly charges that they usually try to tack on with new motorcycle purchases. Price wars between motorcycle dealers occur, but usually on higher ticket bikes, or last year models... they use extras as leverage and also as a way of keeping your $$$ out of pocket high. I had sold my 2002 Toyota Corolla S and wanted to get something fun to get arond on, as I have a company Sprinter Van that I drive part of the time... What better way to get around than on a SPORT BIKE? I checked into different bikes, and the Kawasaki Ninja 250R is one of the best bikes on the market since it has a low MSRP, and gets good milage! Once I broke in my bike, I started to push it's limits just to see how competitive the small 249cc engine is... and sure enough, I can keep up with huge 750cc and 1000cc sport bikes on the freeway, although the fastest I have gone is 110 miles per hour... My bike handles a lot better than bigger bikes in the twisties, so I keep up just fine with muscle bikes on curvie highways! What better way to save $ on gas, than enjoying yourself riding a motorcycle?
Modifications
I have changed out most of the turn signals and brake lights with LED lights, as well as added a set of LEDs near my license plate in order to make myself more visable AND keep the total wattage down on my ride. Flush mount turn signals are cooler looking, but honestly, I am running a pretty much stock bike.
Planned Modifications
What can I do, and what should I do?!?!? Not much as far as I know... I plan on getting new exhaust, MUZZY, in the near future which will help with performance and power, and I will get some softer bigger tires once I have wore down the stock tires a little. Other than that, nodda...
