|A U12 Nissan Bluebird which I have just bought in New Zealand! It has a CA20e engine - fuel injected, 2.0 8 valve (like my UK cars engine, except slightly larger, and no turbo). It is also Automatic with lockup engaging at 50mph only once warmed up.
This (was going to) be my new FETC vehicle. Baseline MPG over first four full tanks = 28.2MPG. MPG figures from EPA website = 21MPG combined (new figures) for Nissan Stanza 2.0 Auto (my car!)

Driving at 5ms injector pulse maximum during acceleration
(trying to avoid engine enrichment)

Tyres pumped up to 42PSI (sidewall 35PSI). Max speed 50mph
Overdrive control wires disconnected (means I can get overdrive even when the engine
is stone cold, and that it stays engaged when going downhill, so better for fuel cut-off
Brief trial of extreme front airdam + other aero stuff, on 11/05/2008
Permanent 100% cooling system block 15/05/2008 (no air enters front of car!) (replaced rad block)
1000W subwoofer installed in boot, + high quality speakers x4 in the cabin.
Air-con installed at 90% (all cabin components including cooling rad + electrics),all engine bay components including seals, compressor installed, need to connect last 2 pipes to compressor...
Tuneup on 15/05/2008 + Passed warrant of fitness
- Ignition retarded 5 degrees back to factory specs (ridiculous detonation problem resolved)
- New Spark plugs
- Valve clearances done (intake valves were quite loose apparently)
- major ticking noise from engine cured!

Universal Tractor Fluid in the Auto gearbox (prior to manual swap)...
Distant Future Modifications
- Electric motor somewhere (engine? 5th wheel?)

welded onto one of the driveshafts prior to fitting the manual
