02/17/2009 298.9 9.848 2.1Different station w/ known higher fill. Really cold weather for 1/2 the tank. Driving fast (75 MPH) for most of the tank. Car is up to 186K miles and starting to show it's age. Running a bit rougher these days and consuming a fair amount of oil now.30.35
02/12/2009 318.6 10.054 1.99Driving fast (72-76 MPH)31.68
02/09/2009 304.1 9.636 1.99Driving fast (72-76 MPH)31.55
09/24/2008 317.4 8.59 3.82 36.94
09/19/2008 364 8.99 3.99 40.48
09/09/2008 287.1 7.658 3.84Not hypermiling these days. Carpooling so I drive 70 MPH to make up the lost time, and still save. 37.49
08/15/2008 430.2 10.637 3.94 40.44
08/11/2008 443.5 10.571 3.79Higher Speeds on some of this tank41.95
08/04/2008 454.9 10.435 3.83 43.59
07/31/2008 484.3 10.884 3.83 44.49
07/24/2008 436.4 10.03 3.89 43.50
07/18/2008 355.1 8.4 4.05VERY heavy rain and winds for 50 miles. Otherwise pretty normal tank.42.27
07/14/2008 413.4 9.749 4.07 42.40
07/10/2008 347.4 7.863 4.07Scangauge is back in for most of this tank. Tried to make up for the last tank a bit. :-)44.18
07/03/2008 212 5.653 4.09No scangauge, no driving for FE. 100+ Miles @ 80 MPH, the rest at 70-75.37.50
06/30/2008 393.8 9.373 3.99Scangauge still on loan.42.01
06/25/2008 393.1 9.324 3.94Not much to add here. Some high winds, 50 miles at 80 MPH. Still no Scangauge.42.16
06/20/2008 315.8 7.274 3.94Full tank w/o Scangauge. Not bad!43.41
06/17/2008 451 10.424 3.94No scangauge for the last 180 miles or so. (Someone else borrowed it) 43.26
06/12/2008 370.4 8.72 3.94 42.47
06/09/2008 181.4 4.49 3.94Last tank must've been pretty close, since the MPG from this tank is in agreement with the Scangauge within .5 MPG, as usual, and I used my usual pump this time. This tank had 2+ days of VERY rainy, wet weather. My highway MPG was noticeably lower for the same speed and throttle opening due to the water. Also had a lot of city driving in this tank, too.40.40
06/06/2008 280.3 6.084 3.94Same station as 95% of my fill ups, but not my usual pump. I'm not sure I believe this fill up yet. We'll see what the next one looks like if I can get to my normal pump. Weather has been warmer and humid. I've also drafted quite a bit on this tank, so it is possible that it's correct. Added STP gas treatment to try some ABA testing this tank. Probably not a good tank to start a test. Oh well.46.07
06/04/2008 399.6 9.576 3.94Was gone on vacation for a week. Getting warmer out. CE light did not come on in the last 150 miles of the tank. 41.72
05/23/2008 361.5 8.159 3.89Still having 02 sensor trip CE light at least once a day. Record tank!44.30
05/20/2008 370.6 9.123 3.79Only a 37 MPH average on this tank as opposed to the usual 45+. Lots of city driving. CE light STILL coming on. Will look into it.40.62
05/16/2008 355.6 9.576 3.79Someone else driving for 200 miles of this tank. During this tank: New Rear shoes, drums and pivots. Swapped Rotor; Caliper; Pads; Bearing assembly w/ one from a car w/85K and brakes w/ less than 2K. Bled Brakes enough to move all new fluid in. Swapped Hood and Driver's Side door w/ parts from 97 w/ 77K. Also removed passenger wiper. Installed a 2" longer wiper than stock on the driver's side. 37.13
05/09/2008 170.1 4.394 3.799Check engine light stopped coming back on after resets during this tank. Swapped out the MAF sensor and the cracked valve cover in the last 50 miles. Ended this tank and then handed it over to a mechanic. Will have the front rotors, calipers and pads replaced, as well as the rear shoes. And the fuel filter if he has time.38.71
05/08/2008 361.5 9.574 3.859Rest of weekend trip is on this tank. Also, last 150 miles+ I had a check engine light on. Cleared it 3 times and it keeps coming back. Seems to be one of the 02 sensors. I'm sure that's affecting FE.37.75
05/04/2008 308.4 8.477 3.599Long weekend trip. Did not drive at all for FE. Scangauge not reading speed properly anymore, sometimes not at all. Not sure why.36.38
05/02/2008 262.3 6.129 3.599Filled just before leaving for weekend trip42.79
04/30/2008 295.8 7.102 3.599Fairly normal tank, but colder out.41.65
04/28/2008 365.1 10.272 3.599Heavy crosswinds, much higher than normal speeds, cooler out, another driver for some of the tank. Effectively driven not at all for FE. 35.54
04/25/2008 350.6 8.511 3.599Some drafting, some solo, some higher than normal speeds, some rain.41.19
04/23/2008 442.1 10.905 3.559Almost no semi drafting on this tank. Some driving during rain. More city driving than usual. (50-60 miles or so)40.54
04/20/2008 357.8 8.433 3.529Some harsh headwinds, some light tailwinds. Weather is getting a bit warmer, too. Was able to do some semi drafting some of this tank.42.42
04/16/2008 116.8 3.372 3.459Someone else's driving on this run. Water Pump died and had to nurse the car along. So water pump, timing belt, coolant and 02 sensor were replaced during this tank.34.63
04/15/2008 202.7 4.841 3.479Varying weather and speeds from 60-80 MPH on freeway. Water pump is making horrific noises. Handed car over to mechanic to change timing belt and water pump41.87
04/10/2008 311.2 8.195 3.399Varied driving. Some faster than I would for FE, some in heavy rain. New sparkplugs installed towards the end of the tank. O2 sensor not yet changed. ECU Finally "Ready" during this tank (Reset was 3 tanks ago)37.97
04/08/2008 207.2 5.746 3.399First tank w/ Scangauge. No improvement seen, suspecting bad 02 sensor as FE doesn't seem to be as speed dependent as it should be.36.05
04/05/2008 187.3 4.728 3.49955 miles were a late to work trip, and were quite fast. (80 MPH) But I also filled up at a different pump than usual and suspect the fill was a bit lower than usual.39.61
04/03/2008 236.7 6.421 3.399Front tires low (27-30 PSI), Check engine light on and reset during this tank so the ECU may have been learning, etc. After filling, inflated all tires to 50 PSI.36.86
04/01/2008 319.5 9.497 3.319 33.64
03/31/2008 352.1 10.245 3.359 34.36
03/27/2008 359.2 10.247 3.299 35.05
03/25/2008 307.2 8.87 3.279 34.63
03/23/2008 343.1 9.964 3.259 34.43
03/20/2008 317.2 8.9 3.299 35.64
03/18/2008 470.6 13.591 3.279Added 5 gallons mid-tank, thus the higher total distance34.62
03/14/2008 229.4 6.431 3.299 35.67
03/12/2008 237.2 6.121 3.299 38.75
