I swiped the credit card and it took another 3 gallons till it clicked off again.14.85

01/03/2009 291.1 19.338 1.479Drove down to Charolettesville and back on this tank. About 50% highway, 50% short trip city driving. Shell 87 octane E10, (Bealeton, VA)15.05
12/28/2008 172.1 10.919 1.499About 80% highway. 87 octane Exxon E10 (Catlett, Va)15.76

12/04/2008 140.4 9.507 1.589~60% highway. Finishing up some heavy hauling. Filled with Exxon E10, (Catlett, VA)14.76
11/27/2008 251.8 18.423 1.699Cold weather is here! Average IAT in the morning is <30F. I'm seriously considering doing something with rigging up a better WAI. Filled with Exxon E10 (Catlett, Va)13.66
11/16/2008 157.4 11.205 1.899Mostly city mileage, Filled with Exxon 87 octane E10 (Catlett, VA)14.04
11/11/2008 202 16.158 2.499100% city driving. This tank is tainted by transmission repairs. My torque converter started failing. Torque converter was replaced, and transmission was flushed & filled with synthetic ATF. Filled with BP 89 octane E10 (Sterling, Va)12.50
10/30/2008 293.9 19.765 2.429~ 40% highway. Filled with Exxon 87 octane E10 (Sterling, VA)14.86
10/22/2008 328.7 18.311 2.509Had a family emergency in southern Va. Drove down there and back. Mostly highway miles (about 80%) Flying J 87 octane E10 (Ruther Glen, VA)17.95
10/21/2008 131.6 10.176 2.749Commuting back & forth and local errands. Almost all short trip city mileage. This fillup was really the morning of 10/22 but I changed the date so it would appear in the proper order on the graph. 87 octane Exxon (Catlett, VA)12.93
10/17/2008 273.6 19.112 2.759Lots of driving back & forth haulin' stuff. I've been moving the past week. Filled with Sunoco 87 octane E10 (Sterling, VA)14.31
10/11/2008 212.6 13.847 3.159Probably about 50% highway. I went to a town wide yard sale today, so there was lots of short trip stop & go, about 15 miles worth. Filled with BP 87 octane (Martinsburg, WV). Not sure if it was E10 or not. The station didn't have vapor recovery so its probably not in a special fuel area.15.35
10/05/2008 284 19.408 3.259About 50% highway I toyed with some P&G. Filled with Sunoco 87 octane E10 (Front Royal, VA)14.63
09/28/2008 293 20.947 3.389There was some a/c usage on this tank. Mostly city miles. Not much hypermiling done because I was pushing the BG 44k through. Last 60 miles on this tank were straight highway, but I got caught in traffic on the DC beltway. (A traffic jam on Sunday night???) Plus I did some WOT acceleration at least twice a day to really help the 44K blow out the crap from the engine. Some a/c usage. Filled with Exxon 87 octane. The pump wasn't marked, but I believe that I was in an E10 area (Jessup, MD)13.98
09/10/2008 135.7 8.277 3.389Michelin E rated tires installed today. Pressure @ 70 PSI. Also added a bottle of BG 44K @ this fillup. I will try to run this tank as far down as I can to get the most out of the 44K. I haven't seen anyone here talking about 44K, but cleaning the valves and injectors doesn't sound like a bad idea. This tank was almost 100% short trip city driving. Filled with Sunoco 87 octane E10 (Manassas, Va)16.39
09/07/2008 252.4 15.635 3.499Didn't really drive this tank for economy. Grille block was installed, and lots of driving it hard w/ a/c on MAX to make sure the grille block won't make it overheat. About 40% - 50% highway. Filled with Exxon 87 octane E10 (Catlett, Va)16.14
08/16/2008 166.45 9.333 3.799Mostly highway, mostly in hilly/mountainous terrain. A/C only on DFCO. Filled up with Sheetz 87 octane E10. (White Post, Va)17.83
08/15/2008 251.3 17.916 3.779AAAAUGH!!!! The world is conspiring against me in my efforts to get better mileage! Yesterday I had to drive over to Vienna and I wasn't paying attention and let my GPS route me through downtown Herndon and Reston! Then to top it all off I had a road construction delay where I sat in traffic for almost 30 minutes. I was going to Manassas today, but then I saw a huge backup on 28 so I just turned around and decided to go to Leesburg instead. Extended airdam underneath the truck was installed on this tank. Filled with Sunoco 87 octane E10. (Leesburg, Va)14.02
08/03/2008 227.5 12.858 3.899Driving in the mountains... Lots of DFCO on this tank, but got stuck for a considerable amount of time following a line painting crew @ 10 MPH for about 8-10 miles... I also got stuck in road construction where I sat in a 1 mile backup for about 20 minutes. I still feel pretty good about this tank. Figured I'd try premium and see what it does... After some thought I am thinking that maybe the previous tank wasn't E10 like the pump said. It was in an area that I don't think requires Ethanol, but the pump said 10% Ethanol. Filled up this time with Sheetz 93 octane E10. (White Post, Va)17.69
07/31/2008 166 10.798 3.749I saw Exxon for $3.749. I couldn't pass it up. The last 20 miles on this tank were highway miles where I was trying to DFCO. Not sure if it was successful or not. At this fillup SG overestimated fuel usage by about a gallon. Not sure if it was because I really was DFCO'ing or is it because I calibrated the SG with methanol in the tank. This tank was mostly city driving, and some mild a/c usage. Exxon 87 octane E10 (Catlett, Va)15.37
07/22/2008 222.9 14.219 3.889About 80 miles of city driving on this tank. Finished calibrating Scangauge with this fillup. SG should be pretty accurate from here on out. Also, this further dilutes the methanol in the tank. After this fillup I estimate there is about 8 to 10 ounces of methanol left. Filled up with RaceWay 87 octane E10. (Manassas, Va)15.67
07/12/2008 37.9 3.581 4.079Top off tank to get started on calibrating the new ScanGauge. Also, the methanol in the last tank didn't seem to be doing much for me, looks like I hit right about 10 MPG, quite possibly the worst I have ever done in this vehicle. This tank was 100% city driving, and no A/C usage. Shell 87 octane E10. (Sterling, Va)10.58
07/07/2008 229.7 17.324 4.099I added 24 oz of methanol to the tank at this fillup. We will see if there is any increase in mileage on the next fillup. This tank was almost 100% short trip city driving with quite a bit of a/c usage. Shell 87 octane E10. (Sterling, Va)13.25
06/23/2008 158.2 11.491 3.85980 miles city driving, the rest was highway. Wawa 87 octane E10 (Gainesville, Va)13.76
06/16/2008 56 2.341 4.079100% highway driving, Shell 87 octane E10 (Sterling, Va)23.92
06/15/2008 132.9 8.702 3.979About 50% highway, don't remember what flavor E10 I put in it.15.27
