04/24/2008 420 8.807 3.41Avg temp for this tank 53?F. Found a faulty plug wire in the car and had to replace the set. I have changed back to OEM NGK V-power plugs and will run them for the next few tanks to compare them to the Pulstar plugs.47.68
04/19/2008 415 8.138 3.39With rising temps, finessing the WAI, new plugs/wires/rotor, things are looking up again.50.99
04/13/2008 408 8.642 3.1735?F avg temp for this tank. New commuting route, longer, all highway. Fourth tank on Pulstars, third tank on WAI. Installed NGK Power Cables (super low resistance) at last 100 miles of the tank. Seeing good things from the power Cables with the Pulstar plugs47.21
04/09/2008 427 8.43 3.22Avg Temp 37?F for this tank. Had to pump up the tires a few psi to get back to 44psi, pass. rear tire was at 20psi! Third tanks with Pulstar plug and second with the WAI mod.50.65
03/25/2008 422 9.373 2.99Avg temp was 31?F for this tank. I also added a semi WAI for the tank and shut off the motor at some stop lights. The brakes are in need of a lubing as the pads are slightly dragging from the winter caustics.45.02
03/13/2008 408 9.062 2.9820?F avg temp for the tank. First full tank on Pulstar Plugs.45.02
03/04/2008 411 9.383 3.05Avg temp of 18?F for this tank. I have also lost the privilege of plugging in my car for the afternoon trip home from work. :(43.80
02/20/2008 405 9.014 2.79Second full tanks with Block heater used. Missed using it for one short trip, so that killed it a bit. Average temp for this tank was 11?F.44.93
02/04/2008 394 8.539 2.88Average temps of 22?F First full tank using block heater for two hours before each trip. Things are looking up now.46.14
01/24/2008 375 9.047 2.78Way below freezing temps for most of the tank as well as strong headwinds. Just installed the block heater within the last 60 miles of the tank. We'll see how it goes from here out41.45
01/08/2008 413 9.578 2.95First full tank with the new front wheel bearings....things seem to be looking up. Just need to install that block heater to help out more with the cold starts.43.11
12/31/2007 365 8.423 2.96finally got my front wheel bearings replaced. This next tank should be a bit better for FE.43.33
12/18/2007 389 9.1 2.8 42.74
11/17/2007 348 7.655 2.99Still haven't replaced the worn CV shafts and wheel bearings. More cold temps and high winds as well. Have inflated the front tires to 40psi (5psi above max).45.46
11/06/2007 421 9.281 2.76This tank sucked, I was only at 35psi in the tires, still missing most of my underpan and wondering if part of it isn't starting to act as a 'chute while driving now. Also wasn't exactly trying the hardest to drive nice. Starting this fillup though, it's back to the old FE driving in preparation for the FETC. Still haven't replaced the wheel bearings yet either. That will be next Friday.45.36
10/30/2007 435 9.163 2.89Put on the 155/80/13 wheels for the winter season, and made a new catch can. Haven't been driving super efficiently either.47.47
10/21/2007 433 9.732 2.743 Gal. of E85 + 6 Gal. E10 (87 Octane) + cooler temps + Heavy foot = Less than stellar gas mileage. I also had to remove the center aluminum section of my underpan due to it getting damaged from heat. Also fabricated a new PCV catch can for my car.44.49
10/10/2007 432 8.279 2.74 52.18
09/22/2007 256 5.008 2.76Used my Cub discount and got some 89 octane to mix in with my tank of 87 since i experienced a little pinging last tankfull.51.11
09/17/2007 405 8.424 2.65I had a Car Club cruise on this tank which means about 50 miles of hard driving. It was fun and well worth it. There is also construction this year on my route to work which drops my FE a bit as compared to my 96% Highway driving over the summer. In addition, my car is now consuming more oil...which will foul the O2 sensor faster and give me less MPG overall. I need to see if I can finish rebuilding the spare motor this winter and get it in the car this spring.48.07
09/10/2007 402 7.733 2.93couldn't wait to fill the tank so I could have one full tank with the new under pan befoer winter hits.51.98
08/31/2007 458 9.237 3.19 49.58
08/23/2007 405 7.804 2.85 51.89
08/17/2007 468 9.034 2.97 51.80
08/10/2007 456 8.561 2.69More trips to Becker and Eden Prairie, so 96% highway driving roughly.53.26
08/03/2007 437 8.31 2.79400+ miles in four days!!! Been busy! Didn't try to hypermile at all this tank.52.58
07/31/2007 455 8.624 2.79Nothing much to report but lots of driving, lol.52.75
07/18/2007 458 8.901 2.85Major discount on Gas with my Cub Foods coupons. Needed it since I've been driving nearly 100 miles a day for the past couple of days working on Golf Carts.51.45
07/13/2007 463 7.802 3.26lots of nice long highway commutes....didn't go above 65MPH for the whole tank. PLayed with pulse and glide a lot on the highway as well. EOC to all red lights that I wasn't first in line for.59.34
07/04/2007 501 9.494 2.94Couple of long highway trips for the holiday. Normal driving habits, ie, just coasting a long way to stops and no pulse and glide. Kept the speed below 70MPH.52.77
06/27/2007 442 9.001 2.95lots of short trips and having to floor it to avoid getting run over on the on ramps this tank.49.10
06/18/2007 382 7.308 3.59Filled with non-oxygenated, no ethanol 92 octane gas. Replaced rear drums. 52.27
06/08/2007 398 7.473 3.04Filled with premium. Been shutting down at red lights as long as I'm not the first in line.53.25
06/01/2007 436 8.527 3.02Another full tank on the new exhaust. I must say I'm loving it! Need to start working on a brake job, relocating O2 sensor, and get to rebuilding my spare VX motor.51.13
05/23/2007 423 8.514 3.27First tank on the new exhaust. I had about 15 or so miles of WOT on it making the exhaust sing for friends and myself. It's out of my system now and should see better numbers next tank. Exhaust consists of a 4-2-1 header, Catalytic converter, two Cherry Bomb 29" resonators and an oval Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler. The OD diameter is all 2" the entire length from header back. It is maybe only 1 decibel louder than stock, but I can tell the flow is much better.49.68
05/16/2007 465 8.862 3.15Just put on the new exhaust at the end of the tank. Ran for about 150 miles with no muffler on.52.47
05/08/2007 482 9.128 2.86Running around getting parts (all light weight parts this time) and nice warm temps above 70?F52.80
05/02/2007 498 9.907 2.79Lots of highway driving trips for delivering and picking up parts. Also driving around with a 150 lb motor in the back of my car for the last 100 miles of the tank. Temps are back up into the 70s during the afternoons and 60s in the mornings and evenings.50.26
04/23/2007 434.5 9.158 2.69I floored it quite a few times showing some friends my new intake :( But not too bad of a tank considering over 330K miles on the motor now.47.44
04/13/2007 454 9.219 2.69First full tank with new intake, not a noticeable gain yet.49.24
04/04/2007 473 9.808 2.49Lots of extra driving so far during my spring break. Added a new type of intake during the last 50 miles of this tank. Edit: Forgot to add the fact that the temps have dropped to the lower 30s ?F and very gusty winds the this week.48.22
03/26/2007 519 10.03 2.44Couple of days in the 80's, Removed WAI due to warmer temps, and have put on my Summer rims and tires.51.74
03/17/2007 365 7.387 2.16getting 28 cents off per gallon is awesome!49.41
03/09/2007 448.6 9.116 2.46 49.21
02/23/2007 426 8.484 2.29Been coasting a bit longer before stop lights and there was almost a full week of driving in 30+ degree weather.50.21
02/02/2007 425 9.191 1.99many days of sub zero weather and strong winds. :(46.24
01/22/2007 387.8 7.884 1.84Pretty cold (low teens most days and some days in the upper 20's *F) and windy, always windy, ugh! On the bright side, gas has been super cheap! :thumbup:49.18
01/10/2007 360.7 7.327 1.99Some gusty winds today. Gas was $1.99 for 89 and 90 Octane!!!! I thought I'd never see a one as the first number in teh price of gas again!?!49.22
01/03/2007 426 8.661 2.15Few days of slushy roads and winds in the teens.49.18
12/18/2006 452 9.22 2.16 49.02
12/07/2006 354.6 7.704 2.14Temp Ranges in teh teens and 20s, high winds 15-20mph steady. And some spirited driving. Also switched to semi-synthetic 5w-20 oil.46.02
11/28/2006 468 9.323 2.17307 miles of this tank was part of my ~400 mile round trip to Worthington. WAI installed 100 miles before the end of the tank. It was raining the last two days and winds were mild.50.19
11/24/2006 391 7.781 2.15This tank involved roughly 100 miles of 300 miles freeway trip to Worthington. Average speed was 58 mph while top speed was 65 with small spots of 40mph driving. There was only ~3 miles of engine on coasting this tank. The next tank if getting 62mpg so far on the return trip, but we'll see how much my daily commute will bring it down.50.25
11/15/2006 401 8.1 2.12Added grill block at 250 miles this tank, replaced spark plugs, switched to my winter wheels, also added tape to the edges of the windshield to reduce drag. Adjusted hood for a smaller gap on the leading edge. Winds were relatively calm for the whole tank. Temps averaged ~39*F49.50
11/04/2006 320 7.102 2.09Four days straight of 15-20mph headwinds on my trips to work :(45.05
10/27/2006 375 8.102 2.18avg temps were in the high 30s- low 40s46.28
09/25/2006 400 7.65 2.07 52.28
07/24/2006 425 7.925 2.36Hot humid weather, pre underpan, post mirror, seats, fog lights and carbon fiber hood. No P+G or drafting.53.62
06/15/2006 456 8.24 0found old gaslog entry scratched on the back of a receipt.55.33
