Got a new car!
So with my parents moving to the far away land of Colorado and me staying here in Ohio to fend for myself. My parents decided I had worked hard enough and done well enough in college so far to get me a graduation gift a little in advance. My old car Gary (1991 Volvo 740) was getting a little unreliable and so they did the "sensible thing". I now have a 2009 Volvo c30 t5 with 6speed manual trans. I LOVE this car.
and yes that isn't "the exact one" because I don't have any pics of my own, but it is the same kit except for the trans which is an auto in this case. (and for those of you who are really into twilight, and by extension would be 13 year old girls the one in the pic is from the film twilight)
oops forgot! got it tinted recently with limo tint in the rear, and 20 in the front with a strip of limo across the windshield. And I must say... ITS SICK. ok i'm done now

I didn't know they still made those things. I thought they did away with that one. I like volvos and hatchbacks. the merger of the two, I'm not so sure about. I think it looks better in black (but that is just my opinion).
I saw twilight this weekend as someone lent my wife the first book in the series and she is now addicted to it so she had to see the movie. yea, it was strange. I usually like vampire movies but this one was really out there.
I have heard that those cars are fast as a bat. it still has the same motor as the s40 right? is it the same weight? I would assme that it was lighter.
either way, it is good to have a reilable car. usually once a car drops me one bad time, it's gone. that being said, my cav has 190k+ miles on it and has yet to do it to me.

Nice parents. Congratulations on the new car. I spent a lot of time in a C30 last year. One of my favorite new cars.

Very nice car! Report back with your mpg. I'm thinking it might suck for the first few fillups while you play with the new "toy!"

I got ragged on so much going to highschool in that wagon until one day I challenged one of the guys with a mildly lifted Chevy Z-71 to a 1/4 duel. He lost in front of most of the sophmore class and everyone had a little more respect for the wagon after that.

Yeah it's a great car. And FAST! I have the 6 speed manual which is sooooo nice. I'm not the biggest fan of Twilight either, but what's a guy to do right? and bow tie guy, they're not empty nesters yet. I got two little bros one's 11 and the other is 8. I got one weird family. I have a sister who's 25! what a spread. I don't think it'll do great mpg. which is sad... it's gotten 27 with mostly highway so far, and in DEEP city driving (i'm now in Cleveland) I get 20 +-2 mpg. It's not record setting but it's better than my old car. And with all that power I just can't help but push it hard. I think it's lighter than the s40 but not by much. It's 10 inches or so shorter. I have to laugh every time I come up behind an s40 or s60 and they have the same engine or smaller! I literally just start laughing out loud. I still can't believe I drive that thing.
