Re: 1997 Honda EX 5-Speed

you have a really good vehicle to start with. driving techniques might be your best bet. you don't need a VX or CRX to achieve ridiculous FE. you'll find PaleMelanesian has a 4 door DX and he's in the top ten!!!

take a gander here...http://www.gassavers.org/garage/view/1164

Thanks all for the feedback! I'm still in the process of checking to see how much MPG the increased air pressure has yielded! I'll keep you all posted!

Re: 1997 Honda EX 5-Speed

OK, I’ve given it some time to see what the higher tire air pressure yields! As of today, the increase in air pressure has netted me 3 mpg! I’m now averaging 38 mpg! Not too bad! Thank everyone again for the tips! If there are more tips that can squeeze out more miles, let me know! I love the extra MPG!!!!!

That's exceptional! What's your recommended, maximum, and actual PSI?

You should put your car in The Garage and start a gaslog so you can track and share the success of your strategies.
