Time for new tires. Any recommendations?

Welp, my summer tires are near the end of thier life, and I am wondering if anyone has recommendations on some real nice low rolling resistance tires? on 17" rims.

I doubt there is much choice on rims that size...

Re: Time for new tires. Any recommendations?

Tirerack.com has 11 choices in 215/50-17. A few years back, maybe so. Now many cars have 17 inch rims stock. I had some GoodYear Assurance Fuel Max tires, but I didnt really like them. A bit too squishy. They wore OK, but I ran them @ 42psi most of their life, and the center was a bit more worn than the edges.

See if the new Michelin defender is available. It is made in some of those larger sizes, and it is an LRR tire that is still great on traction, treadlife and comfort.

I recommend round tires. Square tires give a harsh ride....

I just watched that whole episode. That was positively absurd.
