I happened across someone selling a MSD 6AL and a few other items together on eBay the other night and decided to pick it up. So as soon as the stuff gets here, I'll be installing the 6AL in my d15z1 powered CRX. I had one before on my d16z6 powered hatchback and it really did help with the idle and low rpm power (I never really charted MPG back then).
Here is a little blurb from the MSD site explaining Multiple Spark:
The MSD 6 Series produces full power multiple sparks for each firing of a plug. The number of multiple sparks that occur decreases as rpm increases, however the spark series always lasts for 20° of crankshaft rotation. Above 3,000 rpm there is simply not enough "time" to fire the spark plug more than once, so there is only one powerful spark.
Has anyone else tried a 6A (or 6AL... the L is just for a rev limiter) before???
Wish me luck!!! (Still haven't gotten an email or package...)
