Team VX
Now that I'm getting back into the FE game a bit... it's time to create a new team for the FETC... Team VX.
Who is willing to join me?
BTW, I doubt we'll win, as it's rather difficult to get above the EPA ratings on these vehicles. It should be fun though.

That's like saying the VX is not a contender in the FE game. I thought the VX was supposed to be a leader!? Anyway, I'll join ya.

I don't know if the challenge is based on over-epa numbers of sheer MPG numbers... I'd assume over-epa just b/c it levels the playing field.
TEAM VX WTF!

I think that my definition pre-dates the X-Box. I learned it by asking a biker what it meant, it was tattooed on his arm.

Yeah, ftw = for the win.
I thought it's mostly a Euro-soccer thing.

I'll give it a try too if there's a space available. It'll motivate me even more not to touch the red-line area.

I just thought of something. I thought I read somewhere in the rules that there has to be an automatic trans car in the team as well. I'll have to check on that later. Right now I'm getting together some pictures for a coupl of how-to's I'll be posting up on Monday. I can't find my cable to transfer pics to my computer so I'll have to wait until I get to work.

How it works..
- You start with a baseline 90-Day running average when the competition begins, and what percentage over EPA that is.
- Try to get the best improvement over your 90-day +EPA average during the running cycle
- Average the team together
- Win, lose, have fun, learn a few things, trophies, accolades, resume content (OK, maybe no trophies...)
A couple rule items: one 4-door, one automatic (can be one car for both), and [EDIT] at least 2 member s above the Mason-Dixon Line.
Great news, though with the new team formation!

Is there something newer than the 2.0 rules? They say two above the line:

8. At least two cars must be above the Mason-Dixon Line; at least one car must each have an automatic transmission and one with 4-doors (one vehicle can satisfy both requirements)
|
I'm new to this and want to be sure I'm following the right version!
Thanks,
Rick

Good grief, you're right! It's been a while since I delved into the rulebook
To clarify :it's 2 cars above the M-D line, you're absolutely right.
2.0 is the current rules version.

Hi
I'm looking for aftermarket telemetry gauges ( trip computer, instant MPG, distance until empty, etc.. ). prefer electronic ( v. mechanical) with a super small footprint. ( compatible to fit 5th Gen 92Honda VX )
Thanks !

There are no auto vxs. So possibly include hxs? All lean burn team. There are at least auto hxs no lean burn but cvt auto trans. Hmm possibly someone has a four door with a transplanted d15z1 in it. I know they are out there. Hmm I'm in but as stated it's hard to get way above the base mpg. I'm not complaining 45 plus mpg for a 20 year old car people don't believe me.
