Exclamation There is a sucker born every minute.

Cigarette Power Socket Fuel Saver!

Simply plug into cigarette power socket to gain 5 to 10% reduction in fuel consumption.

Works with gasoline, diesel, and LPG powered vehicle's.

Improve gas mileage by minimizing interference and voltage fluctuations of the vehicle's electrical system.

Please note all claims are made by manufacturer, we did not test this product for any results.

If it wasn't $30 or I actually had some money right now I'd buy it just to see what the hell.

Ooh, ooh, can I get one?

If I saw them in a store for $5 I might buy one for the opportunity to refute it.

I'm pretty sure for less than $5 you could build one, and then refute that instead.

It's just a capacitor in a cig lighter adapter. I could go to the surplus store and acquire some 140,000uF 30v caps they have there and that'd beat anything they could possibly fit in that little adapter.

I was betting it was just a capacitor as well. I'm a car audio nut and it's a myth that it helps your charging system in that application too. The little capacitor in that thing would discharge so fast and with such little actual energy that your vehicle wouldn't even know it's there. Then after it's discharged guess what happens? It's a drain on your electrical system until it gets charged again.

According to http://www.wholesomewords.org/missions/greatc.html there's 4 births every second, so if a sucker is born every second, then 25% of people are suckers.

They're getting their info from the world factbook, in case anybody cares. Yep, it's the CIA. Population tracking's not what usually leaps to mind.
