D15z1 (VX) Engine EGR System Hookup

Im looking to put in a d15z1 in an 88 civic sedan. After reading Matt's thread ive managed to find about 90% of the parts i need to install the engine. But theres one thine that ihave no idea how to do. How can i hook up the egr control box and the egr valve itself. Each of them has two wires on the plug.

Does anyone know where the wires go?

I know one of them is for power but not sure if the others go to the Ecu, and if they do, what pin on the obd1 ecu do they correspond to.

If anyone can help i would really appreciate it.

A11 should be the EGR Control Box.

D12 should be the EGR valve.

As for which wires go where, remember this:

On hondas a pure black wire is always a GROUND wire. A black/yellow (or any wire that has yellow, I believe) should be 12v. I think on the EGR Solenoid (not 100% sure) the other wire is 12v. I think the other wire on the control box is a ground. once again, not 100% sure, but I think the colors match up.

Perhaps Jared can help as he has the shop manual.

my wiring diagram shows that matt is correct, the black/yellow wire is a hot wire coming from the under dash fuse/relay box hooking to fuse #12 or #24 (depending on year and air bags), the other wire comes off the EGR valve as a red/blue wire, then turns in to an orange blue wire befor it gets to the "EGR controle solinoid" that turns out to be one of those mistery dohickys under the hood mounted on the fire wall right behind the intake manifold.

Matt,
Hows your swap coming along? Did you manage to get all the bugs worked out?

I think I need a new O2 sensor and it shoudl be good after that. I calculated it at 27MPG on my last fillup, which is horrible. It's actually done MUCH better on this tank so far. I'm ordering a new o2 sensor tomorrow. I need it to be around 45MPG before I can sell it.
