Another Heavy-Weight Hybrid Contender

http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...d/fcs-nlos.htm

Weighing in at 24 tons, this Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) cannon is powered by an impressive 560 hp, diesel-electric hybrid system. It will top 55 mph on the road and manages a range of 2.5 miles at 20 mph in "silent-running electric mode.

I was watching the Military Channel Saturday night and saw this bad-boy featured on Future-Weapons: No Place to Hide. This particular unit is a technology demonstrator. The final model is required to weigh only 20 tons for transport in a C-130.

The Caterpillar 3126 diesel engine (http://www.cat.com/cda/layout?m=53580&x=7) is consumption rated at 22.9 gal/hr - can anyone figure out the cannon's mileage from that?
