1,000,000 mile man

Danny Chew from Pittsburgh recently bicycled his 600,000th mile. His lifetime goal is to hit 1,000,000 miles.

One thing I think is interesting that he has his monthly lifetime miles all charted here (he has a few +4,000mi months):

His personal web page is here:

Truly impressive! Riding more than 8 days straight with minimal breaks is nothng short of phenomenal. It's people like this that pave the way and inspire others to succeed, albeit to maybe a lesser degree, in thier own lives.

The first taste of freedom for most of us was on a bike. Some of us just never get enough of it - even if we have to attach a motor to it!

4000 miles a month! I don't even drive that in my car. Does he have a 400 mile commute?
Being Dutch myself I like using my bike whenever I can, but the USA is not really geared towards riding your bike and with my two year old in his seat in the front I drive only there where I feel totally safe, which is pretty much going to the library, park, grocery store and such.
