Congrats! I haven't managed to drive 55 mph yet
I did a 220 long trip at 62 mph or so and that was as slow as I could mentally go. I'm sure it just takes getting used to though.

I can't seem to get 30mpg lately, however that is all city driving and NO A/C but I do have the window down since it has been 100+ degrees lately. Hopefully I can take another highway drive and see what I can do.

I have an SC2 and if the clutch ever goes on it I'm going to switch to a single cam trans while its out.

With my SC1 I got 44 or 45 mpg doing from 70 to 75 mph from Chicago to Detroit last summer. I think my daughter got about 36 mpg that same day in the SC2.

I did a test commute in my wifes saturn 5 speed and managed over 52 mpg over three days and 130 miles, armed only with a scangauge and a kill switch and good energy management. I got there faster than with my metro too

We took it on vacation and managed 41 with a trailer full of stuff and staying off the interstate.

Here I am having trouble knocking down 30MPG, however it is ALL city driving and when I do drive it on the highway I can get upper 30's to 40. Having an AT doesn't help the cause either. But I am extremely happy with the car and hope that it will last a long time.

Maybe I need to do more "gliding" but in this hot weather with no AC I do sometimes get impatient.

Here is hoping for the 30's...

Congats. I can't wait to hypermile my civic. The wife drive it now and will until we pay off the Saturn and get her another car.
