My last 3 fills

Since I've installed the SG2, my last 3 fills have been at least 20mpg. I know this isn't a lot, but if you look at my prior fills, my mpg ranged from 15-19. It probaly won't get much better than this, due to my 4 mile one way drive to work. I'm tempted to try EOC, but with an Auto tranny, I could end up walking. Any suggestions?

I have the same situation. To work is 3 miles, to college is 8ish miles, to gf's house is 7-8 miles. This is nice becuase I drive less, but the car takes awhile to get to proper operating temperature so this is killing my FE...

Don't risk your tranny...

I have no automotive training/education background. Thus, you should take what I say with a grain of salt.

I EOC my car during one leg (3 miles or so) of my trip to work. The car is not heated up AT ALL when I kill the engine, so it is obviously still cold when I re-start it after I lose my momentum. I drive in such an area that it is possible for me to wait until I am only going about 20-25 miles per hour when I switch the car back from neutral to drive. I figure that this is a lot safer than if I were to do the same maneuver at around 50 mph. I have not had any problems YET... but that is not to say that my automatic transmission is any better for it.

It isn't my car though, it is a lease that my company pays for, so I don't really care what happens to the transmission. As long as it doesn't die on me while I am driving it, then I couldn't care less how it ends up! Wouldn't want to be the next person to lease/buy it!
