silencer or no silencer?

my friends car has intake, Header, and a welded muffler (after header its all stock). its a 92 civic DX with the D15b7

its not really loud without the silencer, but he just wonders if putting it back in would net some better fe? he dont floor the pedal at all, he just dont like the look of the silencer being on the muffler tip

Probably no change with the smaller diameter silencer in the tip. If anything it might help to keep it out.
