How to tell whether it is an hf tranny?

3 questions:
1.There was a link somewhere that showed how you can turn the gear peg thing coming out of the transmission 10 revolutions and judge by the position of another gear peg thing to see whether you have a dx, si, or hf. Can someone post this link if you know where it is, I lost it, and am going to look at what someone is calling an hf tranny.

2. Is there writing on the case that distinguishes the hf from the others?

3. You count the splines to tell whether it is an 88 or 89-91? 10, and 11 respectively?

Thanks Guys,I hope to swap my std 4spd for an hf tranny over the next few weeks assuming I get one! Frank.
