How electronics savvy are you?

You can build a full blown air fuel gauge fairly easily for like $15-20.

http://www.scirocco.org/tech/misc/afgauge/af.html

The display driver they have on there that you can get for free isn't really free because of what they call a 'high demand' for the product samples. National charges $9 for one unit and I think $15 for 5. I got three of them(should have gotten 5).

But you know, looking at the circuit they've put together there, that's simple as hell. AND www.st.com offers free samples of the LM311 chip used in it. I've got 3 on their way!

that link that you put on there (95cherjust's) gives you all the components that you need and even a schematic along with pictorals.

I would go to radioshack and get all the stuff. even the LM311 should be available through them. if not, that is one you could order off of the web. if you can't buy a kit, just make your own.

*edit* the LM311 is just a voltage comparator. you should be able to pick that up at radio shack and there are data sheets all over the web for it. just google search it.

Just get serious and get this: http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=67

It has a narrow band output for your factory ECU. Then besides changing your driving habits you'll have a better O2 input to increase your mileage.

Yea i think your right, the wideband 02 kit is the way to go becusae you can watch real time air fuel ratio, also if i plug my air fuel guage to my narrow band 02 its going to be off anyway becuase the efie is hooked into it now so i can lean the jeep out with adding the HHo and if i lean and richen the 02 sesnor that guage would be off right.

Also as for a lean alarm you dont need that becuase you can just watch the guage for going to low, as for closed loop how do you know the car is in closed loop if you have obd1 and cant monotor it.

With the EFIE you'll just hook the indicator to the output of the EFIE to the ECU.

Honestly though, if you are running the EFIE you should probably do a full blown air fuel gauge to the O2 output.

kyle dont you think just do a wideband 02 instead with wideband air fuel guage to show actual read outs
